Clamp Bus
Over the years the shop has gotten larger therefore increasing
the amount of time walking back and forth to fetch yet another
needed bar clamp. I have probably logged more miles
on my feet than most frequent fliers.
In a never ending battle to increase shop productivity I came up
with what I call a Clamp Bus. Silly as the idea seemed at first
once constructed and put to use this furniture grub thought
I reinvented the wheel.
Fully loaded (68 misc. clamps) it weights in at 150 lbs.
Those 6" rubber wheels aren't just for show.
This bad boy guides from one side of the shop
to the other like grease lighting.
Rumors of a Clamp Bus II have surfaced
over the past few weeks but I must admit --
This shop couldn't handle retiring the original to pasture.
24" wide
28" long
35" with wheels
2 pcs. 3/4 plywood top. 21 holes drilled with 1 1/2 Forstner bit
