Don Weisman writes:

All we had when inventing the rail slitter
with a 3450 RPM motor was a "Resilient" mounting.
This means the motor is being held by two clips,
front and back, lined with rubber.

A mistake not to be repeated.

The motor should have a "Rigid" mounting
to prevent any movement when the rail to be cut
is presented to the cutting blade.

Other than that it performs just fine.
