My touch-up kit travels in two aluminum cases
and serves dual duty --
since I also work from them in my shop.
(These are nice waterproof camera equipment cases,
with high-quality latches and hardware, supplied by an
otherwise-unidentified Italian upholsterer near Albany NY).
The main case holds most all the little stuff ...

and most of it is grouped in plastic containers.

The contents of the lid are held in by a WilsonArt and Masonite panel,
slightly too big, so spring tension holds it under the rim.
The lid of this case detaches, which is very handy.
(The panel also makes a nice work-table-top and dropcloth,
just right for protecting myself from white carpets).
The lid-half usually carries sticks and pens
and fill materials and whatever else will fit ...
... and the bottom-half carries the rest of my burn-in stuff,
and powders and fluids and brushes and pencils,
and glues and hardware and fasteners and ...
... an assortment of the tools I use most on-site.
The other case ( The Can Case )
collects whatever-else I am taking with me
on any particular trip, most generally the rattle-cans,
so the case is padded with a close-cell foam
to keep the cans from rattling around ...
This catch-all case can hold a variety of on-site aids,
as shown in this candid and unrehearsed photo :
Working from the cases in the shop:
The "desktop computer" of my in-shop touch-up station
is a wheel-about cart that holds whatever stuff
I am currently using (on the top shelf)
and the stuff I typically use on the lower shelves.
When the top shelf gets too cluttered,
I try to put away whatever I'm not using.
Most everything in my shop is on wheels --
a moveable feast to fit any occasion.
My Bermuda Triangle of Repairs:
This is where I seem to end up having
most of my in-shop touch-up experiences,
so my touch-up kit is located at eyeball height
in the nearest cabinet ...

With the detachable lid there is always plenty of room
to paw around and find what I need ...
... yet it all stays grouped and fairly organized,
and ready-to-go at a moment's notice.

Groop.
