And here, finally, are the promised pics
to prove I am, Wendy the Musher.
The view from the rear is the one that, well, never changes.
The two lead dogs are Hawkeye and his sister Freja.
In the middle is springer spaniel Daisy.
She is 12 years old now, and has been sledding since she was 1.
In "wheel" are Hawkeye's aunt Ruby and
springer Daisy's daughter Stoner.
Our Springers' motto is,
"If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch!"
The head on shot was taken by my passenger who agreed to leap out
of the sled near the end of the 11 mile run and dash ahead to get the
frontal view. Unfortunately, in the excitement we think he hit the wide
angle button instead of telephoto. By the time we cropped down to the
team and enlarged it, it was very blurry.
Just think of me as Tool Time Tim's neighbor Wilson-indistinct at best.
The trailer is known as a dog box. This one (designed and built by
yours truly) has space for 12 dogs and 3 sleds. The dogs feel safe
and secure in their individual compartments. They travel in style.
