I was out in the shop starting some casting patterns
when my Grandkids came over.
They asked what I was doing
and instead of working on Groop stuff,
we made plaster casts of their right hands.
Then we smelted some aluminum and
poured the aluminum into the plaster casts.
My granddaughter Melissa did hers first ...
My grandson Kyle will pour his hand tomorrow.
The inclusions on the hand were caused by the plaster
not being baked long enough to remove all the water.
That causes roughness on the castings.
