Well I finally bought a camera.
I was thinking of buying the one GregS had for sale
but my wife wanted at least 2 megapixels and an optical zoom.
We bought an Olympus C2000Z.
It is not a current model but I think the price was OK $420.
I'm still learning how to use it but here is a picture.
Last summer I received a call from a man who had seen my ad
in the yellow ages. He asked if I could repair and make new parts
for furniture. (yes). He said that he had an old secretary, two chairs,
a folding chair, rocking chair and a small table.
I was thinking,"This is going to be a nice job".
He then said,"Do you want this stuff?"
He was moving and didn't want it any more.
I immediately unloaded my van and picked it up.
The secretary was Idaho author and journalist Louise Shadduck's
mother's wedding present in 1906. When I called Louise to verify
that she said, " I wondered what happened to all that stuff".
I thought,"now I'm receiving stolen property", but she said
she didn't want it and that my wife and I should enjoy it.
After working on these pieces in my spare time,
I finally finished them all and have them in the house.
