When my daughter told me that Madeline Albright
lived less than a block up the street, I said:
"Let's go take some pictures of Madeline's house."
Amanda said :
"No, Dad. The Secret Service is out front 24/7 and they'll
take your camera away from you if you take pictures."
"Cool," I said, "let's go."

At the
Hirshhorn Sculpture Gallery
we were treated to a Special Exhibition of Salvador Dali.
I saw a painting I'd never seen before,
and immediately thought of capturing it
for Daniel and others in the Groop.
(Also immediately) after flashing this, I had two Guards explain
to me that photos are not allowed in Special Exhibitions
and that NOWHERE in the Gallery are Flashes allowed.
( Clearly easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission.)
