In all my years I have never seen a "repair" like this one. The corner block
on the base of this wardrobe had been repaired several times. Looks like
3 different attempts with nails (about 25), one with some kind of epoxy
putty and last but not least mortar (cement and sand). The mortar was
hard to remove. It had adhered to the wood so well that each chunk that
was chiseled off had some of the wood it was attached to, stuck to it.I was
surprised at just how good the mortar worked.
