Notice the interesting method that was used by the owner to 'secure' the splayed leg. By the way, it was the only leg of the 4 that is still attacted!

Does this make it a gate-leg table if you use a gate hinge :)

I think I would have used a slightly smaller hinge so the ends of the pins wouldn't be visible.

As you can see in the accompanying picture, I know how to put things together. I had a real problem clamping this one and was about to send the question in to the group when I read your post. Maybe you can help?
