What a great story/idea Kevin! As a wood "collector" I like to make
small turnings from collected pieces of wood , but as far as the
Christmas tree goes ... I give it to our goats who like to eat it!
The tree should come down on Epiphany, Jan. 6th.

What a great idea......I have done similar things with Apple and Pear tree
limbs that broke from storms....my late grandmothers house had a small
orchard in front....I have a few tool handles from tha Apples , too....

Congratulations Kevin,
You are the second person I know who is resourceful when it comes to
saving a piece of Christmas .Just happened to read "A Christmas Story"
starts page 68 nin Woodwork Magazine Feb2000 issue now on your
newstand if they are worth their salt.
Willis Bowman the author made a table from saved trees and describes
how he dries them and works their trunks.
Regards,
The Beav
