RE: Yellow Pages

Hi Ya'll,
Speaking of dealing with the elderly, when I worked for the Herman Miller
dealership in Miami, I used to get a call now and then from an elderly
person that had a primo HMI piece. Usually by Naguchi or some of their
modular teak wall units.
When we talked price and they turned white, I would call the manufacturer
and tell them what they had, I could usually get parts if they were available
for free. I had to promise that if they would supply the parts, I'd supply the
labor, which I did with my bosses blessing, "as long as it doesn't become
a full time career."
That may be a good argument for me not to go into biz. I'd have to stick to
working with other businesses 'cause I'm a sucker for a hard luck story and
a grey mane.

I too have to be a good listener ,it's part of my state job in patron
service. But hey they'll tell their "yuppie " kids and hey you just might
get more business than you think. That's what I find here in the South.
