RE: Wheelchair in the shop
Dennis,
Wood magazine had a nice article on how one guy adapted his equipment
to accommodate his wheelchair. I did a search of Wood magazine on-line
but didn't turn up the article so guess I'll have to sit down and flip thru them
till I find it. May take a little while but I'll get it to you.

Dennis,
I have some experience with wheel chairs. I can't recall if you were remodeling or
building fresh. I will ramble off a few thoughts I had. Making the work benches
like desks so you can wheel up to them and fit chair and all the other good stuff
riding in it under the work surface.
Hang all your outlets from the celing, they act like speed bumps on da floor.
Hang the hoses from the celing too. Get those cool coiled hoses!
Drill press needs to be shortend. Have a buddy with a torch and grinder help you
with that one. My tool boxes are above my benches and looking at them I think
a guy could put them under the benches on either end. Like I have a 4 foot by
10 foot table, put them under the two 4 foot ends. Move all your switches and
the like down a foot or two. I think that should stir up some ideas in the groop!
I would like to thank my brother for taking the time to wheel around my shop
and show me how un accessable it is to him. :-)
Hope this helps!
