If you're lucky enough to have a lazy boy I think they guarantee their
mechanisms for life, you might check with who ever made the chair.

Hey Rick B!

I hate recliners with passion! I have repaired a few and have found that if you
take out the mechanism and then put it back in that some times helps .
(Tighten all the joints up while it is out).

If that fails try to contact the manufacturer of the recliner (You can get this
information by contacting a retailer that sells that Brand). I deal with Stratford
and Barcolounger on a weekly basis. You will need the style number and how
wide the seat is to get the complete mech. I have found that all you really need
is the moving parts, the scisors. If you need any more info give us a hollar!
I can get you numbers for Barcolounger and Stratford too.
