Black Lacquer Folding Screen

I have a customer with a black lacquer folding screen that has a dirty haze 
over the entire piece. It could be cigarette smoke or just years of grime. 

How can I clean this for her without damaging the lacquer or the 
mother-of-pearl and ivory inlays?
