Attending the conference in Las Vegas was the best thing that ever 
happened to my business.  Firstly because it introduced me to the groop.  
Just realizing I wasn't the only guy out there working out of my garage was
great.  I never dropped even one quarter into the one-arm-bandits, I was too
busy comparing notes with fellow refinishers. I wouldn't worry about the
content of the conference, you'll always learn something, but absolutely go
and meet the folks.

What a great response!!! 

I'm glad to see how many "groopies" are gonna be there! 

At the conference in Las Vegas (I wasn't able to attend) Members of the groop 
were trying to get together on ways of recognizing other members via buttons 
or tee shirts or the like. Did anybody come up with anything definite? (Besides 
the lacquer-dazed look on our faces and the stain under our finger nails;> )  

I would like to meet others in person, of course we'll be able to recognize the 
more famous " published" members. I'm still researching hotels, let me know 
if anyone has found any outstanding deals!

I second the motion - so attendance for you is mandatory.   

To make it an offer you can't possibly refuse - 
I'd even be willing to demonstrate my amazing heretofore unobserved 
skills at French Polishing  -- and, if a suitable facility could be located 
(like maybe Noel's place),  the incredible yet-to-be-described :
