RE: Palm Pilot

Roger responds:

>> Roger do you know which model Palm Pilot it is equivalent to?

I think its equivalent to the Palm Pilot V. Its got 2MB memory but
for $249 you can get their top of the line model with 8MB

>> Also did you have to buy special software for your PC or
>> were you able to load the PDA software into your PC ?

Software was on the CD-ROM that came with it.
Easy to install and hot-sync.

>> The only advice I have for you is not to try to use them while driving.

I've tried reading my map while on the cell phone and checking the address
on the palm pilot while on the highway and its is pretty scary. I think I'll
have to limit it to 3 of the 4.

>>There is a program you can get to go along with it called Teal.
>>It lets you sketch some. I have installed it , but not used it yet.
>>And naturally, for the mac it cost more.

Haven't tried that one but I did download a $9 shareware called ImagerX
and now I have a picture of my wife and 2 granddaughters on it.
Way cool.

Hey you guys,

Is there enough memory on these Palm Pilots to load mapping software?

Ozzie
