Business Software

Bill Barlow writes:

Hi to the groop !

This is my first post to the groop although I have been reading every day with
great enjoyment the information that is so eagerly presented to everyone.

My question today has to do with business software.

In November David B asked if anyone used any good software to keep track
of customers, pricing, inventory, scheduling and so on. Tony A answered
back that he liked Quickbooks Pro and Reed S in October said he uses
Quickbooks. Quickbooks Pro seemed to be the choice of several people in
the groop so I decided to go with Quickbooks Pro.

I have three employees now including my son and we track our time on
each job to try and get a handle on pricing. (after 3 years it's still hard to
get that handle) ..... LOL.

Back to my question. In setting up the quickbooks program I noticed that
I can customize my forms, invoicing, estimates etc. Could anyone in the
groop that is using quickbooks, fax or show the groop a copy of your forms
that you use with this program. I know I can come up with a customized
form, but from reading all the information from the groop I know there is a
lot of people here that have more experience in this business then I do,
so I am asking for your help.

PS If you want to see one of the crazy things I did to advertise my business,
look at the upright piano that I half finished in the PR magazine May 1999
restoration gallery.
That Piano has paid for itself many times over the past several years.
