Bubbles?

Chap Messer writes:

Hi Ya'll,

This one is weird to me.

I topcoated some tables today and got bubbles in the finish and I need
some input as to if my diagnosis is correct, or should I look elsewhere.

The company invested in a spraybooth for the new warehouse but they
did not put it where I thought it should be. Instead they put it right next
to where the upholstery is cleaned. Everyday the upholstery that comes
back in from rental is cleaned with a professional machine, left to air dry,
then bagged to be returned to the racks.

I pushed for the booth to be put at the other end of the warehouse because
I was afraid of the lint being sucked into what I was spraying. But now my
question is, do you think it's possible that it's contaminating the surface
by sucking in the cleaning solutions to the booth?

When the bubbles developed, I took the gun apart and cleaned it (twice).
Then, when that didn't work I sprayed one table about 10 feet away from
the booth just out in the open. No bubbles. Then I took another piece and
set in front of the booth, not in it, and turned the booth on and it bubbled.
Then I sprayed one more away from the booth to see if the other one
was just luck. No bubbles.

The only thing that I can think of is contamination from the upholstery
machine. What do ya'll think? Any place else I should check?

Thanks in advance!

Chap
