Easy for you to say Alan, How do I do that?
Can't I save the whole folder file? Contacts list?
Conventional right click will only work on each individual folder or contacts.
When I highlight Local Folders it blanks out the save as option.

A geat piece to add to your computer is a zip drive.
They are cheap and hold a minimum of 100 megabyte.
hats a lot of emails that can be stored on one zip disk.

Ozzie is using Microsoft Outlook Express as his email program.
Maybe some of you familiar with that program will have some
suggestions for him.

Ozzie,
Send yourself a letter with all of the information in the text and re-create
your mailbox and favorite bookmarks. I just got a new puter also, and it
did take a little time to do it.

Ozzie:
Didn't want to admit it, but I lost mine on December 31, last Century.
According to the Techs who put my computer back together said it was a
software problem disguised as a hardware failure. I was y2k compliant and
had no bugs, trojans or other obvious problems, but Windows 95 decided
to eat its FAT files, or something like that.
They had to wipe the slate clean and load a fresh W95, I get to reload all
the other programs, but lost all my data. Accounting was the only thing
I had backed up. Got smart after the horse was out of the barn and had
a ZIP drive installed. Now I back-up weekly. My suggestion is to do the
same. Transfer your important files to a ZIP and work from there until you
are sure the new computer is going to stay up and running. The $100.00
invested is a lot less than the hours I have spent reinstalling, and the time
trying to recreate some data from very old files.

Ozzie,
Alan's suggestion in a good one and will do the job! If you can afford to get
a zip drive that attaches to the parallel port (assuming your old computer has
a bidirectional EPP or ECP one) you can transfer all your files to a large 100
Meg or higher removable disk and then reattach it to your new one to reload
your files. Maybe a good friend will let you borrow one for that purpose so
you don't have to buy one, just the media!
