Great suggestions from the Groop!!!

On Lane and Franklin recliners, one trick I use to make sure the bolts and
arms of the mechanisms get back right on the side of bar that connects to
the side handle is to paint a white spot on the side of the bar there the nut is,
before I take it apart. Because it is not possable to dismantle just one side,
it can be confusing how the brackets need to be when reinstalling the new
mechanism.

Don't be afraid to use the staple puller!!! I find that when I don't pull
enough staples, my hands look like they have been in a cat fight.

It takes me about a half hour to change out a Lane or Franklin recliner after
it is on my bench, and certainly after having practiced on many others.
A good estimate for a new experience would probably be two hours
(and a half box of band-aids <G>)

Good Luck,

That seems to be the case with all furniture made after 1960.
Yet another reason to have an unlisted phone number...
