The First Day |
The first day or two of GroopMail is an eye-opening
experience
for most people who've not participated in an email exchange
group.
You will receive a lot of email and it may seem overwhelming at
first.
It's a lot of reading and many different
discussions about
a lot of topics and ideas -- just like a daily "trade
newspaper."
If it's a little confusing at first, take heart --
it gets easier as you become addicted to it.
Each Groopmail delivered to you is an
assemblage
of all the email received the prior day on that topic.
To get into the discussion just click REPLY,
type in your two cents worth, and click SEND.
Your response will be assembled with the others
and sent back out the following evening.
Please leave the Subject Line the same (RE: Whatever);
that helps the assembly process and helps our
finicky Archive software keep track of all of it.
It's also a big help if you will leave (at
least) the part
of the original message you're responding to --
set your email program so that it places a carat (>)
or something in front of the original text.
In short, the more you make your email TO
the Groop
look like the email you get FROM the Groop,
the easier it is for everyone involved.
Our Archive Library is "Password Protected";
your own personal password is enabled
when you become a "doos" paying Member.
